Hi! I'm Jessie, the founder of OTTO & NOVA - it's so lovely to meet you!
Firstly - just a little bit about me; I'm a nurse in the real world but in my spare time I have a  very strong drive for creativity and a real passion for sparkly things. I've always been a collector of fashion, from a very young age I've been collecting, purses, shoes, and of course - jewellery. As I've gown wiser with age and had access to adult money; I started investing in "high quality" pieces - but found that even these pieces weren't quite holding up to their price tag. I started creating my own pieces to wear for whatever occasion I was getting dressed up for, being the creative soul that I am this opened up a whole world of options for me. I did extensive research into the cost of materials, utilising local suppliers and hunkered down. I didn't want to see any more over-priced pieces that I knew wouldn't be able to uphold their longevity with wear - so I created OTTO & NOVA.

Now who is OTTO & NOVA exactly? Well, Otto and Nova were two beautiful souls that entered my life at a time that I needed them. Both being beautiful native Australian reptiles. Otto was the colour of a sand dune - his whole demeanor comparable to a cool summer evening, sitting on the beach - watching the sandstone cliffs as the sunset sky dips to a cool blue before the night settles in. Nova? Just as her name suggests, she was the night sky and all the stars combined. Rich, deep burgundy and purples, with speckled white dots all over her - her name just fit perfectly, Nova admittedly was on the more fiesty side - just like a wild night out that you didn't know where it was taking you. 
If Otto was the sand dunes at sunset; Nova was the twinkling stars in the sky right above. Together, they encompassed all that I believe is beautiful - and it is with their memory that I want to create pieces that bring that same feeling - of when you see certain textures or colours - and get taken to a place that you just find beautiful.

OTTO & NOVA was born from a love of beautiful things made slowly, with intention.

What began as creating pieces to wear with favourite outfits became something deeper — a ritual of design, detail, and self-expression. Each piece is thoughtfully handcrafted in small batches in Noosa, Queensland, allowing space for creativity, quality, and care at every stage.

Inspired by natural elements, coastal light, and the quiet romance of everyday adornment, OTTO & NOVA jewellery is designed to feel both effortless and elevated. These are pieces made to be lived in — layered, worn often, and treasured over time.

I believe jewellery should feel personal. Sculptural yet soft. Refined but never overworked. Every collection reflects a moment, a mood, a place — inviting you to make it your own.
